I am interested in a human-centered approach to designing technologies for self-regulated learning on the web. Through an understanding of cognition and motivation influencing learning practices, I hope to design better tools for that take advantage of digital information and intelligent software.

Web-based Learning Platform
Designed and developed a novel web-based learning platforms to enhance studying for students. The site is running a pilot mathematics course for over 60 students at Harvey Mudd. A second version was developed for physics and calculus content.
Cooperative Search with Autonomous Vehicles in a 3D Aquatic Testbed
Advisor: Susan Martonosi (Mathematics Clinic, HMC)
Project manager for a team of three math and two engineering students to develop an aquatic testbed and design and deploy control systems and cooperative behavior algorithms for robotic submarines. Presented work at the Joint Math Meetings in January 2011.
Resource Allocation for Cloud Computing
Advisor: Lidong Zhou (Microsoft Research Asia
UCLA Research in Industrial Projects for Students program. Investigated modern research on cloud computing. Designed and simulated resource management systems for cloud computing.

A web application that features annotated web video, study tools, and community features for learning stuff online. Includes material for a real analysis course taught at Harvey Mudd College.

An successor of Learnstream Beta that includes physics and calculus material. Learning material is broken into knowledge components, which are individually tracked for each user and used for problem selection. Video material comes from MIT OCW and Khan Academy.
